What's New at McKinley Trucking!
McKinley Trucking, Inc. receives first place in Fleet Safety.
Phil McKinley accepts a plaque from Cliff Harvison of National Tank Truck Carriers, Inc. for taking first place in the Fleet Safety contest.
The MTA named Harold Ross Driver of the Month in October. Ross has driven for McKinley for 26 years, logging two (2) million miles! Because of his professional attitude and safety record, one of our customers asked that Ross help in the making of a company safety video. Ross' attitude is one of a professional and increases the trucking image to the public. Ross has dedicated half his life to the trucking industry. In addition to driving, he still tries to spend some time with his family.
In February the Michigan Trucking Association awarded 12 year veteran McKinley truck driver, Arnold Rosekrans, the Driver of the Month award. He has driven over one (1) million miles without any accidents! Many of our customers ask for his services by name. They have told us that he not only brings them their goods, but also has a good and professional spirit. Rosekrans says he is dedicated to his family, company, customers, the public and the trucking image.
Recently Terry Rowland, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, was awarded the Association's Pioneer Award from MPA/MACS. This award is given to those members who have been involved in the petroleum industry for at least 40 years.
Terry has had a long and varied career in the transport end of our industry. In 1955 Terry joined Refiners Transport & Terminal Corporation and Leaseway Transportation out of Detroit and Cleveland. Over the next 19 years he moved up in the company from dispatcher to regional sales manager. For the next five years he was a vice president at Consumers Petroleum Company in Detroit - at that time the largest Texaco jobber in the United States.
In 1979 he returned to Leaseway Transportation and served for 10 years as their vice president of sales & marketing, northern division bulk group. There followed jobs with transport companies in North Carolina and Nebraska, plus three years with Rex Carriers out of Birmingham, Michigan.
In 1995, he became Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the McKinley Trucking.
